The beginning of the famous Worcestershire Sauce starts in the early 1800s, in the county of Worcester. Returning from Bengal, Lord Sandys, was eager to duplicate a recipe he had bought. Lord Sandys's hired, two chemists—John Lea and William Perrins to make the first batch of the sauce. Lea and Perrins were not impressed with their first trials, and simply left the product in their cellar and forgot about them. A few years later, they decided to try out the sauce and, to their delight, the aging process had turned it into a delicious, sauce. And that is how this wonderful sauce was created.

Greenhouse tomatoes by the Savoura Company
Savoura tomatoes were first grown in 1989, in Portneuf greenhouses, and distributed in eastern Québec. In the summer of 2007, Savoura built a new, state-of-the-art facility. This new greenhouse complex is heated with biogas from an adjacent landfill site and helps decrease the production of greenhouse gases. The complex covers 18 hectares, the equivalent of 35 football fields. This fascinating tomato is now available all year long.
